The famous Dandi March led by Mahatma Gandhi completes 80 years today. The heart stirring Salt-march is one of the most glorious chapters of our country. It was a battle of right against might, an example of human courage and will. In essence it succeeded in achieving what Gandhiji had fought for all his life : total independence for India.
In year 2005, during revisited Dandi March (75 years) unique gesture by Ahmedabad GPO was provided to celebrate the event by introducing baseline messages printed on postal receipts. 12 different slogan messages printed during revisited Dandi March from 12.03.2005 to 06.04.2005 are clearly visible which makes this a spectacular collection.
